The origin of the Fathers day celebration goes back to June 19 1090 un the USA when a woman named Sonor Smart Dodd wanted to honor her father, William Jackson Smart and proposed his date of birth to celebrate Father’s Day.

But it wasn’t unti 1924 when then president Calvin Coolidge supported the idea of establishing a national father’s day. In 1966 president Lyndon Johnson singned the proclamation that declared the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day in the US. This festivity is celebrated troughout most of the american continent.
